The blues travelled upto Howe for a Saturday morning fixture.

1st up were the colts playing their first game. Great to see all the boys back on the field together and glimpses of the cracking team they are.

With Logan M and Callum P making their debuts the colts displayed great heart and determination. Trying to stick to their game structure became tricky as they lost both Ben and Ethan under head knock protocols after high shots. There was some great play from the lads and they should be proud of their efforts. The blues narrowly losing by a couple of scores overall, but the lads should take heart of their efforts.

The 15s were in next, with primarily a 15s side this week due to a number of 16s players unavailable. In a cracking match play flowed from end to end, with some magnificent tackling from both teams saving tries. The play was non stop and offloads galore. The blues tried a number of players in different positions with Greg moving in from wing to hooker, Thomas making his debut, Luke and Peter moving from the backs to flank, while Corey and Daniel also filled in at flank. Aiden D moving into the pivotal 10 role. All 18 players were magnificent and both teams played the game in tremendous spirits. The future of Fife rugby looking to be in good hands. Great again to see players wanting to get on the ball and leading from the front. Stewart snd Euan leading the charges and sharing 3 of the 4 tries. Best try of the day saw the ball recycled 4 or 5 times, before slick hands through the back created space for Cairn to make a fine break, before stepping inside 3 defenders to score under the posts. 24 - 27 final score.

Finally the 13/14s were over at Wetlands playing. Again great numbers, with a number of lads playing only their second game of rugby ever. In the first half, playing up hill against the wind the blues got off to a slow start. On the change of ends the blues came roaring back into game with a couple of scores from Enoka and Mill, with Deryn in fine form with the boot.

The game structure coming to the fore after hard work at training, the lads all playing for each other and giving 100 %.

Well done all and thanks to the hosts. Hopefully see many of these young people playing local derbies for many years to come against each other Great spirit in the games and played in the right manner. Thanks all coaches/managers and supporters for making the journey too
