Wee Blues

Wee Blues

The Wee Blues are Kirkcaldy Rugby Football Club’s junior section for children from Age 3 through to Primary 7 (Under 12s).

For many, this is the first step in a lifelong rugby journey at Kirkcaldy — starting with fun, game‑based rugby in the Micros, and progressing through the age grades of Mini rugby as confidence, skills and teamwork develop.

We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, family‑oriented club where rugby is about enjoyment first, learning the game the right way, and being part of the wider Blues family.

Age Groups

Micros: Age 3 to Primary 2
Mini Rugby: Primary 3 (U8s) to Primary 7 (U12s)

All activity follows Scottish Rugby’s Age Grade framework.

Training and Matches
Training takes place at Kirkcaldy RFC, Beveridge Park.
(Winter sessions move to Balwearie High School astro, with notice.)

Wednesday Training
P3 - P4: 6pm – 7pm
P5–P7: 7pm – 8pm

Sunday Training
Micros > P7s: 10am - 11am
There is no Sunday training when a team is competing in match or tournament.

How to Join
Your child is welcome to come down and try a session at any point during the season. Because we manage all team communications and attendance registers through our club app (Spond), we ask all new parents to sign up before their first visit.

Registration on the app is entirely free, and a membership subscription is only required after their second session.

Select the correct link to get set up:
Micro Rugby for season 2026/27 Sign-Up (Pre-School to P2) | £6 per month over 12 months

Mini Rugby for season 2026/27 Sign-Up (P3 to P7) | £8 per month over 12 months

If they decide not to continue after trying it out, just let us know and we will remove your details from our system.

The Rugby Season
The rugby season mainly follows the School Terms. We start in Mid August and run through to Mid June with a break over the summer. This year our season ends on Sunday 14th June with our annual fun day and players awards.

We continue to run touch games on a Wednesday evening, this is free for all the family into the summer, just turn up at the club and play (6:30 > 8:00).
