Well done to Rory Brown on achieving 100 league appearances for the club, which he reached last month away to Newton Stewart. At the last home game Rory was presented with his cap by President George Shields after becoming the 45th player to join the 100 club.
Rory has been a standout performer for the Blues for a number of years now and is an integral part of the squad, both on and off the field. His physicality and ball carrying ability is clear but he has also become a leader off the field.
The number 8 made his debut in the first match of the 2015-16 season, and is currently playing in his 8th season for the Blues 1stXV. Last season's Player of the Year, he has featured in all 19 league and cup games this season and is leading try scorer with 16 tries.
Here’s what Rory had to say on his achievement: "To reach 100 appearances for the club I have been playing for since I was a Wee Blue is an extremely proud moment for me. I just want to say thank you to my family, all the coaches I’ve had throughout the years and everyone involved at the amazing club."
We are proud to call Rory one of our own!
