The club was saddened to hear of the death of Dougie McCallum, a former player, Zingari and keen supporter of the club.

Dougie took up rugby in his late teens, whilst at Bell Baxter High School. He then went onto play at Penicuik for a short period of time, before having a distinguished career with Kirkcaldy, playing in 67 league games over eight seasons at the club. He may best be remembered for his part in the promotion winning team of 1978-79.

Our condolences to all family and friends of Dougie. Our flag will fly at half-mast this week, as a mark of respect.
