Congratulations to Hearts & Balls on doing the double at this year's Kirkcaldy Sevens as they clinched both men's and women's tournaments at a sunny Beveridge Park.

Their men's side came back from a seven point deficit at half-time to edge Kirkcaldy 29-24 in the final and add a new name to the Heggie Cup in its 68th running.

Kirkcaldy topped Group A after three wins, which included a four point victory over the Dragoon Guards in a feisty match, while their semi final opponents Wolverines progressed from their group with two wins.

Hearts & Balls won each of their Group B matches comfortably but needed a last minute try against the Dragoon Guards to book their place in the final.

In the Plate final between the third place sides, Kilmarnock were winners against Dunfermline.

Hearts & Balls women's team were dominant as they won each game against Highland and Howe of Fife in the round robin and then Howe in the final.
