Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy 64. Stewarty. 12
Today’s game saw the combined U15/16 team from Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy play in the National Youth Quaich semifinal at Carlton Park against Stewarty RFC.
The game started with the game on rules applying, this resulted in Glenrothes having to cut their team to 12 to match Stewarty.
A quick try from Jason opened the scoring to settle the nerves of the home team, conversion success from Alfie S. Stewarty didn’t sit back and some good play resulting them scoring soon after 7-7, some strong play from our forwards opened up spaces for Alfie M to power through with 2 try’s these were then successfully converted by Alfie S. Stewarty never gave up and were rewarded with a try but missed the conversion 21-12, Glens knuckled down and played some nice flowing rugby with 3 further try’s and 1 conversion.

Glens started the second half with a change in squad allowing everyone game time, they continued playing the same good rugby that they were at the end of the first half which saw them extend their lead with a further 4 try’s with 3 conversions by Alyx M 64-12, it was agreed that the game was won and at this point proceeded to development with the teams mixing.
